Ernst Matthias Friedrich (* 1953 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Friedrich works as a theater actor , composes stage music and plays as a singer and violinist in bands (since 2014 with the Garmisch Metropolorchester ). From 1993 to 2008 he was a lecturer at the Neue Münchner Schauspielschule , from 2013 at the Academy for Performing Arts in Regensburg . As a director he staged, among other things, Tucholsky's Gripsholm Castle at the Munich Team Theater . He realized literary projects and readings with Gerd Holzheimer, among others . He also played roles in television . For The Three Lives of Lucie Cabrol , he won the Bavarian Theater Prize in 2003 with the Metropol-Theater Ensemble . For the production For Lovers & Friends (homage to the Beatles with Antje Uhle ) he won the audience award of the Gautinger Theaterforum in 2004 . In 2011 he was awarded the Günther Klinge Culture Prize.
