Antje Uhle

Antje Uhle (* 1973 in Munich ) is a German jazz musician (piano, composition) who rarely appears in jazz clubs .

Live and act

Uhle studied jazz and classical piano at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich between 1992 and 1996 , as well as composition with Wilfried Hiller . She then received a grant for young composers from the city of Munich. In 1999 her debut album Majazztic Steps was released , which was nominated for the German Record Critics' Prize. After a baby break, two more albums have followed so far. She mainly gives concerts in closed societies.

Uhl worked with Jenny Evans in a duo and in different constellations with Johannes Enders . She continued to write the music for readings, theater productions at the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Bavarian State Theater , short films and recitals; on audio books she played to texts by Goethe, Stifter or Schnitzler. She also composed for Giora Feidman ( Lilith 1997).
