Ernst Menne

Ernst Menne (born February 24, 1869 in Cologne , † September 3, 1927 in Kreuztal ) was a German blast furnace specialist and chemist .

Menne studied in Berlin and received her doctorate under Emil Fischer on the subject of pseudoureas . He is considered to be the inventor of the oxygen melting process and pioneer of oxy-fuel technology .

In Siegen , the Ernst-Menne-Weg is a street that bears his name. The Dr. Ernst Menne monument created by Adolf Saenger is located in the Siegerland Center in the Weidenau district .
