Ernst Paul Brink
Paul Hermann Ernst Brink (born September 1, 1856 in Eibenstock ; † March 18, 1922 in Glauchau ) was the mayor of Glauchau.
Life
Brink attended elementary school and high school in Zwickau and studied law in Leipzig . There he became active in the Arminia fraternity when he began his studies in 1875 . In 1882 Council clerk in Annaberg Brink was the first legal councilor in Pirna . In 1888 he moved to Glauchau in the same position and became mayor there in 1889. After he was awarded this post for life in 1893, he retired in 1922.
Merits
Brink gave the first ideas for the construction of the Bismarck tower in Glauchau . In addition to the eponymous Bismarck worship, this tower should also have a practical use in the form of a viewing platform. The project was not implemented for the time being. It was not until July 1899, about a year after Bismarck's death , that Brink made further efforts in this regard in Glauchau.
His brother was Wilhelm Brink , the Lord Mayor of Offenbach am Main .
