Ernst Petz

Ernst Petz (* 1947 in Villach ) is an Austrian writer , editor and publisher .

Life

Ernst Petz ran the Aarachne Verlag together with Heinrich Droege from 1991. During his time, anthologies by Franz Rottensteiner and novels by Droege and himself were published. Petz published science fiction literature, among other things, and one of his main subjects of his own books was the writer Arno Schmidt . In 1988, he was awarded the German Science Fiction Prize for his short story The songwriting life that makes song singers , although the jury saw it as rather controversial.
