Robert Ernst Steckel (born October 10, 1857 in Wippra ; † after 1912) was a German teacher and non-fiction author.

After attending school, he went to the teachers' seminar in Eisleben in 1875 , which he successfully completed after three years. He then worked as a teacher at the one-class elementary school in Aseleben until 1881. Then he switched to the teachers' seminar in Eisleben, where he henceforth participated in the training of teachers for the Prussian province of Saxony and the Duchy of Anhalt. To this end, he had received special training in the area of ​​gymnastics and drawing.
