Aseleben is a district of the lake district Mansfelder Land in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

Aseleben is located on the south bank of the Süßen See approx. 10 km southeast of Eisleben .
climate
The annual precipitation is 466 mm. The rainfall is extremely low. They are in the lower twentieth of the values recorded in Germany. Lower values are registered at only 1% of the measuring stations of the German Weather Service . Aseleben is the record holder with the lowest annual amount of precipitation since weather records began in Germany of only 209 mm in 1911. The driest month is February, with the most rainfall in June. In June there is twice more rainfall than in February. Precipitation hardly varies and is evenly distributed over the year. Lower seasonal fluctuations are recorded at only 22% of the measuring stations .
history
Aseleben was first mentioned in a document as Esilebo in the 9th century .
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent communities Aseleben, Amsdorf , Erdeborn , Hornburg , Lüttchendorf , Neehausen , Röblingen am See , Seeburg , Stedten and Wansleben am See merged to form the single community Seegebiet Mansfelder Land. At the same time the administrative community Seegebiet Mansfelder Land , to which Aseleben belonged, was dissolved.

The Pentecostal boys make a traditional Whitsun weekend every year.
Economy and Infrastructure
There are large fruit-growing areas in the municipality. In addition to apples, plums and sweet cherries, apricots are also traditionally grown here.
traffic
The federal highway 80 , which connects Eisleben and Halle (Saale) , leads directly through the district. The 440 bus of the Südharz transport company , which also stops in Aseleben, runs on it. The nearest train station is Röblingen am See , three kilometers south of Aseleben on the Nordhausen – Halle railway line .
