Erdeborn is a part of the municipality Seegebiet Mansfelder Land in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Erdeborn is about 8 km southeast of Eisleben . To the northeast is the sweet lake . The Hornburger Graben is the most noteworthy river and flows through the southernmost tip of the village.
history
In a resulting 881 to 899 directory of the tithe of the monastery Hersfeld Erdeborn is a tenth-requiring location Hardabrunno in Fries field first mentioned.
On January 1, 2010, the previously independent municipalities of Erdeborn, Amsdorf , Aseleben , Hornburg , Lüttchendorf , Neehausen , Röblingen am See , Seeburg , Stedten and Wansleben am See merged to form the lake district of Mansfelder Land. At the same time the administrative community Seegebiet Mansfelder Land , to which Erdeborn belonged, was dissolved.

Separated at the bottom in front are blue tongs and a blue hammer, in the back three golden ears of corn next to each other.
The flag of the former municipality of Erdeborn shows the colors blue and yellow divided lengthways and the coat of arms in the middle.
Culture and sights
The church in Erdeborn and the community center, which can also be booked for events, are worth seeing. In the local cemetery are the graves of seven concentration camp prisoners who were killed in a death march in April 1945 .
