Dederstedt is a district of the unit municipality Seegebiet Mansfelder Land in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

Dederstedt is about 10 km east of Lutherstadt Eisleben and about 6 km north of the Süßen See . The village of Dederstedt is located in the "Lower Saale Valley" nature park. The Laweke flows through the village .

history

In 1127 the place was mentioned for the first time as Diderstidi . The place was also mentioned in 1212 as Dederstede , 1230 Dhederstedten , 1272 Diderstedten and 1395 as Dederstedten .

In the Middle Ages, the place belonged to northern Hosgau or, in church terms, to the Halberstadt archdeaconate district of Eisleben. Dederstedt is one of the old settlements in the upper Lawekegrund and was temporarily the seat of a lower noble family of the same name with the surname Stör. The place was incorporated on September 1, 2010 in the municipality of Seegebiet Mansfelder Land.
