Ernst Wilhelm Flammer

Ernst Wilhelm Flammer (born December 18, 1872 in Heilbronn ; † February 28, 1940 there ) was a soap manufacturer in Heilbronn. A foundation for building private homes was named after him.

Ernst Wilhelm Flammer was the son of his father of the same name, Ernst Wilhelm Flammer, who together with Viktor Kraemer founded the Kraemer & Flammer company in Heilbronn in 1871 . After the son took over the business in 1897, the company gained national fame as Flammer Seifenwerke , to which in particular the Flammer soap and the soap powder produced since 1907 contributed. The workforce increased to around 400 people. In the 1920s, the popular Perflor soap flakes and dirndl soap were popularto the product range. Flammer also operated value advertising, which means that he gave out watches, tablecloths and other everyday items as a loyalty bonus for soap packaging sent in. After his death, the company was taken over by his son Helmuth Flammer .

The soap works established the Ernst Flammer Foundation for the construction of private homes and contributed to the reconstruction of Kilian's Church with a significant donation after the Second World War . The Flammerweg in Heilbronn is named after Ernst Wilhelm Flammer .
