Ernst Winkler (politician)

Ernst Winkler (born August 23, 1899 in Hobersdorf ; † December 27, 1976 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and editor-in-chief. From 1956 to 1966 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After completing elementary and community school, Winkler attended a commercial school and completed courses in Viennese adult education centers and at the workers' college . He learned the profession of forest intern and worked as an editor and head of the press department of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Vienna. Winkler became politically active as district party chairman of the SPÖ Mistelbach and subsequently took over the office of the state party chairman of the SPÖ Lower Austria . He was also a member of the party executive and the party executive of the SPÖ and represented the SPÖ between June 8, 1956 and March 30, 1966 in the National Council.
