Ernst Woltje

Ernst Robert Eduard Woltje (born August 9, 1898 in Bant ; † July 22, 1965 in Hanover ) was a German lawyer and politician ( DP ).

Life

Ernst Woltje graduated in law and in 1924 at the Georg-August University of Göttingen for Doctor of Laws PhD (dissertation: The interest during construction, its position in the German corporate law and their treatment in foreign legislation ).

In 1925 he founded a law firm that still exists in Nordenham today. In 1934 his admission to the bar was withdrawn. He was then managing director of an industrial company. From August 1939 he did military service. From November 1, 1941 until the area was cleared by the German troops, he worked in the Radom district as an employee of the Government General . After 1945 his efforts to be re-admitted to the bar were unsuccessful.

Woltje was a member of the first German Bundestag from May 30, 1953, when he replaced the departed MP Hans Mühlenfeld , until the end of the 1953 electoral term . He moved up for the German party (DP) on the state list of Lower Saxony .

Ernst Woltje was married.
