The Ernst and Martha Ott Foundation was established in 1994 by the entrepreneur Martha Ott in memory of her late husband Ernst Ott . It has the legal form of a general (i.e. not municipal or church) foundation under civil law with its seat in Ichenhausen .

The purpose of the foundation is “ to support pregnant women and single mothers, young people in need and children from socially disadvantaged families who need school or educational help ”.

The chairman of the foundation was initially the Günzburg district administrator Georg Simnacher . After the death of the founder, Martha Ott, in 2007, her granddaughter Ulrike Förster took over this position.

In the 20 years of its existence, the Ernst and Martha Ott Foundation was able to distribute almost 1.6 million euros in funding for social purposes in the Swabian district of Günzburg between 1994 and 2014 .
