Ernst von Mohl
Ernst Friedrich von Mohl (born July 20, 1849 in Neuweiler ; † January 8, 1929 in Munich ) was a German classical philologist and professor .
Mohl was the son of a Protestant pastor and grew up in Hildrizhausen . In 1868 he passed his Abitur in Stuttgart and began studying philosophy at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen in the winter semester of 1869/70 . Here he became a member of the country team Scotland . He later continued his studies at the University of Dorpat . After working as a professor at the St. Petersburg law school from 1889 to 1911, he lived in Munich. He wrote numerous Swabian, Baltic and Russian stories. Ernst von Mohl was the life partner of the writer Isolde Kurz , who dedicated the biography A Genius of Love to him.
