Ersel Çetinkaya (born April 16, 1990 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .

Career

Çetinkaya was born in the Istanbul district of Ümraniye and began playing club football in 2001 in the youth of İstanbul Kastamonu GSK . A year later he switched to the youth of the traditional Turkish club Galatasaray Istanbul . After he was regularly nominated for the Turkish national youth teams from 2004, he received a professional contract from his club in 2006, but continued to play for the youth team. In the spring of 2009 he was loaned to the first division club Gaziantepspor and played here only for the U-19 team. In the summer of 2009 he was loaned to the fourth division Orhangazispor , where he was only on the bench for one season.

In the summer of 2010 he moved to the third division Eyüpspor and came here in one season to a league assignment.

After another year he changed his club again. This time for the fourth division Kahramanmaraşspor . With this club he came to three league appearances in the first season. At the end of the fourth division season 2011/12 , he and his team succeeded in being promoted to the TFF 2nd Lig as the playoff winner. In the 2nd Lig you ended the season as champions and rose for the second time in a row. This time in the second highest Turkish league, in the TFF 1st Lig .

In the spring of 2014 he moved to the third division Altay Izmir . He left this club after half a season and moved a league higher to Şanlıurfaspor . He also left this club after half a season.

Çetinkaya went through all youth national teams in Turkey from U-15 to U-20 .
