Ervalla is a former crime scene in the Swedish province of Örebro län and the historic province of Västmanland . Since 1990 Ervalla with less than 200 inhabitants has only met the criteria for a small town ( småort ).
The place is the seat of its own parish ( socken ), from which a rural community of the same name (Ervalla landskommun) emerged in 1863 and existed until 1951. The name Ervalla is usually associated with the station on the Örebro – Frövi railway line and the branching line to Nora . There is the even smaller town of Ervalla station about 3 km south of Ervalla .
