Erwin Haaga

Erwin Haaga (born February 8, 1914 in Stuttgart ; † February 1960 ibid.), Nicknamed "Wiener", was a German football player.

Career

The right winger became a regular at VfB Stuttgart at the age of 17 , for whom his brother Eberhard also played and for whom Erwin Haaga's father was the youth coach. With the VfB he was several times Württemberg champion. In 1935 he was German runner- up with VfB . After 17 years in the first team of VfB, he ended his active football career in 1947. He continued to work for the club in various areas and played for the senior team . In February 1960 - a few days after his 46th birthday - he died and was buried on February 24th in the Prague cemetery in Stuttgart .
