Erwin Hubert (judge)

Erwin Hubert (born June 11, 1951 in Bamberg ) is a German lawyer and was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 2002 to 2016 .

After completing his legal training, he entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria in November 1981 . He initially worked as a public prosecutor and as a judge at the Hof Regional Court . After the restoration of German unity , he took over tasks in the Saxon judiciary in April 1991 , to whose division he was transferred in December 1992. In March 1993 he was appointed Vice President of the Zwickau Regional Court , which was newly established in January 1993 .

On July 29, 2002, Hubert was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and assigned to the 3rd criminal division responsible for appeals in state security matters and in criminal cases from the districts of the higher regional courts of Celle, Düsseldorf, Oldenburg and Koblenz , in which he worked until his retirement was.

Hubert is married and has one child.
