Erwin Topp
Erwin Topp (born on September 3, 1924 in Wattenscheid ; died on January 22, 1971 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1968 to 1971 he was Lord Mayor of the city of Wattenscheid.
Life
Topp was a teacher and director of the Jacob-Mayer-Realschule . He joined the SPD and was active in local politics . From 1964 to 1971 he was councilor and from January 26, 1968 to January 22, 1971 Lord Mayor of the city of Wattenscheid.
On the return flight from a business trip, Topp, City Director Georg Schmitz and City Planning Officer Kurt Wille perished; the machine crashed in the Taunus in the plane crash on the Altkönig .
