Erwin Zangerl

Erwin Zangerl (* January 13, 1958 ) is an Austrian trade union functionary . Since 2008 he has been President of the Tyrol Chamber of Labor and Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Labor .

Life

After attending compulsory school, Erwin Zangerl began his professional career at Austrian Post , where he completed various internal training courses. He got involved with the Junge ÖVP , and in 1978 he was elected to the staff representation of the Post. From 1986 to 2008 he was chairman of the post office staff for Tyrol and Vorarlberg and regional chairman of the union for post and telecommunications employees (GPF). In 2009 he was succeeded by Heinz Kirchmair .

In 1989 he became a member of the chamber council , and since 1991 he has been on the board of the Tyrolean Chamber of Labor and Employees , where he was Vice President from 2000 to 2008. He is the chairman of the ÖAAB Chamber of Labor parliamentary group and, since 2008, as successor to Fritz Dinkhauser, he has been President of the Tyrol Chamber of Labor and Vice-President of the Federal Chamber of Labor (BAK). Following the election of the Chamber of Labor in January 2019, he was re-elected President by the General Assembly of the Tyrolean Chamber of Labor in March 2019; the vote by the 70 chamber councils was unanimous.

Erwin Zangerl lives in Zirl , where he was also a member of the local council from 1986 to 1998. In connection with the employee and social policy of the Federal Government Kurz I , he spoke of turquoise anti- social in 2018 .
