Friedrich Josef Lienhard Dinkhauser (born April 16, 1940 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician .

career

After graduating from secondary school, Dinkhauser attended the commercial academy for employed people. First he was a competitive athlete (six-time Tyrolean hammer throwing champion ) and took part as a bobsleigh driver in the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , where he was eighth in the two-man bobsleigh and 13th in the four-man bobsleigh with Max Kaltenberger .

politics

Dinkhauser began his political career in 1964 as the state secretary of the young generation of the ÖVP Tirol. In 1971 he became state secretary of the AAB Tirol. From 1984 to 1993 Dinkhauser was chairman of the Tyrolean regional health insurance fund . Since 1979 he has been a member of the Chamber of Labor for Tyrol, where he was appointed Vice President in 1985 and President in 1991. In this function, he also achieved Austria-wide fame through his pithy slogans, with which he sometimes attacked his own party friends of the ÖVP. Since 1991 he has been chairman of the Tyrolean Employment Association as well as a board member of the Association for Consumer Information . In 1993 Dinkhauser obtained the post of Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Labor and in 1994 became parliamentary group chairman of the ÖAAB. From 2005 to 2008 he was the second deputy chairman of the board of the Main Association of Austrian Social Insurance Institutions .

Own political list

In the Tyrolean state elections in 2008 , he ran his own list Fritz Dinkhauser - Bürgerforum Tirol and positioned himself as the second strongest list of seven with 18.35% or 7 seats in the state parliament. Since July 1st, 2008 Dinkhauser has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament . With the establishment of his citizens' forum, Dinkhauser's membership in the ÖVP ended. In the state elections in 2013, the list won two seats.

On July 8, 2008, Dinkhauser announced his candidacy for the 2008 National Council election . Almost three weeks later, he announced that he would not only compete in Tyrol, but nationwide. Dinkhauser received the 2,600 votes required to run for the 2008 National Council election. The name of the party is List Fritz Dinkhauser - Bürgerforum Österreich . In the National Council election in 2008, however, the party failed to make it into the National Council with 1.8%.

On December 1, 2018, Dinkhauser gave up his party leadership at the Citizens' Day on List Fritz; Andrea Haselwanter-Schneider was elected chairwoman of the Fritz Dinkhauser list.
