The Archbishop's Clerical Seminar Foundation Freising was established in 1826. It is a church foundation under public law in accordance with Article 21 et seq. Of the Bavarian Foundation Act. The foundation statutes in the version of October 5, 1982 determine its activities.

tasks

The foundation exclusively pursues the charitable and church purpose of maintaining and operating the seminary of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .

organs

The organs of the foundation are the Regens of the Archbishop's Seminary, which manages the ongoing business of the seminary, the Archbishop's Finance Director, who administers the Foundation's assets and represents the Foundation in and out of court, and the Assets Council.

To fulfill its purpose, the foundation is provided with land, money and objects as well as a guarantee from the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. The foundation is also supported by grants from the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.

Archbishop's Seminary

The Archbishop's Seminary of St. John the Baptist in Munich serves to train future priests in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. This is where the candidates for priesthood live, insofar as they study in Munich, and seminarians who are preparing to receive the deacon and priestly ordination in the pastoral course .
