The Esbensenbucht is a small bay on the southeast coast of South Georgia . It is located 1.5 km southwest of the Nattriss Head .
Participants in the Second German Antarctic Expedition (1911–1912) led by Wilhelm Filchner mapped and named the bay. It is named after the Norwegian captain Viktor Esbensen (1881-1942), administrator of the whaling station of the Compañía Argentina de Pesca in Grytviken .
