Escobaria robbinsorum is a species of plant in the genus Escobaria from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet robbinsorum honors James A. Robbins and his sons Jimmi and John, who discovered the species. English common names are "Cochise Pincushion" and "Robbins's Snowball Cactus".

Escobaria robbinsorum grows individually. The shoots , which often hardly protrude from the surface of the soil, reach heights of growth of 2 to 6 centimeters and the same diameter. Your tightly packed warts are 5 to 8 millimeters long. Central spines are usually absent. The eleven to 17 white radial spines have a darker tip and are occasionally twisted. They are 0.3 to 1.8 inches long.
The flowers are yellowish green to pink in color. They are 1.8 to 2 inches long and 1.2 to 1.5 inches in diameter. The orange-red, short cylindrical fruits are 6 to 8.5 millimeters long.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Escobaria robbinsorum is distributed in the United States in Cochise County , Arizona, and in the Mexican state of Sonora .
The first description as Cochemiea robbinsorum by W. Hubert Earle was published in 1976. David Richard Hunt placed the species in the genus Escobaria in 1978 . Further nomenclature synonyms are Coryphantha robbinsorum (WHEarle) ADZimmerman (1978) and Neobesseya robbinsorum (WHEarle) Doweld (2000).
In the Red List of Threatened Species of IUCN is the species as " Vulnerable (VU) ", d. H. listed as endangered.
