Escondido Valley AVA (recognized since May 15, 1992) is a wine-growing region in the US state of Texas . The area is located in Pecos County . It is the fifth Denomination of Origin awarded in Texas for the cultivation of wine. The area theoretically covers an area of 12,900 hectares, but is hardly planted with vines.
Currently only the Ste. Genevieve Wines wines under the name Escondido Valley.
