The Escorts Group is an Indian company. Escorts manufactures tractors , construction machines and parts for the construction of cars and wagons. The company was founded in 1949 by the Nanda family. After the Ford / New Holland license for India was lost in 1996 , Escorts Agri Machinery began producing tractors itself. The tugs are sold under the Farmtrac , Powertrac and Escort brands . In addition to the main plant, there are locations in Rudrapur (Uttar Pradesh) and in Mrągowo , Poland (formerly Pol-Mot ).
