Escuela Nacional de Altos Estudios
The Escuela Nacional de Altos Estudios (ENAE; German : National School for Higher Studies ) was founded in 1910 on the initiative of Justo Sierra and was part of what is now the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (German: Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities ) of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
Originally, the courses in philosophy, humanities, history and natural sciences were offered continuously for 14 years ; from 1934 the offer was expanded. Individual courses were offered in specially established faculties; 1939 the natural sciences and 1973 psychology .
Today the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras offers the courses Philosophy, History, Geography , Pedagogy , Classical Philology , Hispanic Studies , Theater Studies , Modern Philologies (Italian, German, French and English), Library Studies and the College of Latin American Studies ( Colegio de Estudios Latinoamericanos ) .
