Esham

Esham (* 20th September 1973 as Rashaam Attica Smith in Long Iceland , New York ) is a rapper from Detroit , Michigan. Esham (short for East Side Hoes and Money ) is also known under the pseudonym The Unholy .

biography

Esham released his first album Boomin 'Words from Hell in 1989 at the age of sixteen . In the early 90s he mixed rap with heavy metal elements, he is considered to be the inventor of acid rap .

He is co-founder of the now defunct acid rap group NATAS (short for Nation Ahead of Time and Space ). Especially older texts by Esham are characterized by strongly blasphemous content and an extremely life-negating attitude.

From 1995 he was involved in various soundtracks, including the title Hot Booty on the soundtrack for the film Bulworth with Halle Berry .

Eshams has been running a label called Reel Life Productions with his brother James H. Smith since 1990 .
