Eshkol Nevo ( Hebrew אשכול נבו; born February 28, 1971 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli writer .

Life

Eshkol Nevo grew up in Israel and Detroit , USA . He is a grandson of Levi Eshkol , Israel's third prime minister . He did his military service as an officer in the Israeli army until 1993 at the time of the first Intifada . He studied psychology at Tel Aviv University . He then worked as a copywriter before receiving a teaching position in creative writing at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Universities .

His first novel, Four Houses and One Longing , was on the bestseller list in Israel for over a year and a half.
