Espace d'Art Contemporain Fernet Branca
The Espace d'Art Contemporain Fernet Branca in Saint-Louis near Basel is an exhibition space for contemporary art . It goes back to a municipal commission to complete the cultural offerings in and around Saint-Louis and is located in the distillery of the Fernet-Branca liquor company , which was closed in 2000 and rented the building. The exhibition is supported by the Association pour le Musée d'Art Contemporain Fernet Branca . Since it opened in 2004, the institution has presented contemporary artists and art subjects in temporary exhibitions.
Other German-French-Swiss institutions for contemporary art in the vicinity are the Schaulager in Münchenstein , the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen , the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein or the Museum Tinguely in Basel.
