The Espagnole River is a river on the west coast of Dominica . It forms the border between the parishes of St. John (north) and Saint Peter . It flows north of Morne Espagnole (365 m, ) in the south of Pointe Ronde into the Caribbean Sea .

geography

The Espagnole River rises on the northern flank of Morne Les Resources at about 800 m above sea level ( ), on the border with Parish Saint Peter. First it runs in a north-westerly direction over the ridge of Syndicate and then takes on more streams from the right and north. From Milton Estate there is another tributary from the left and south, before it turns more strongly to the west at Jude Estate and after a winding lower course at Pointe Ronde Estate bends south again to flow into the Caribbean Sea soon afterwards. Shortly before, it takes on the Jargie Ravine , which itself receives tributaries from the northern flank of the Morne Espagnole. Along the ridge of Syndicate, the Dublanc River borders its catchment area to the south and the Cario River is adjacent in the lower reaches to the north .
