Train locomotive
The train locomotive is the locomotive that pulls the train ( train conveyance ). One differentiates in:
- Scheduled locomotive for the train journey
- Locomotive at the head of a train, which is immediately in front of the car. A possibly queued preload locomotive in front of the train locomotive, an intermediate locomotive within the train formation and a sliding or closing locomotive at the end of the train. In the case of multiple traction , no distinction is made between the leader and the pulling locomotive.
