Esperanza is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Cerro Largo Department in Sector 9 on the border with the neighboring Treinta y Tres department . Esperanza is located immediately northwest of Santa Clara de Olimar and a few kilometers southwest of Tupambaé in the Cuchilla Grande . The Río Olimar Grande rises to the southwest near the village . The sources of the Arroyo del Cordobés , the Arroyo Lechiguana Chico , the Arroyo de la Yeguada or the Arroyo del Sauce can also be found in the vicinity of Esperanza.
