Essatollah Abbas Akbarizarinkolaei (born August 20, 1992 ) is an Iranian wrestler . He was runner-up in the free style welterweight championship in 2013 .

Career

Essatollah Abbas Akbarizarinkolaei started wrestling in 2001. He prefers the free style and is a member of the Javan Sari wrestling club . His coaches were or are Rezaie Kalanteri and Amer Tavakolian. He's a student. At a height of 1.86 meters he wrestles welterweight.

In 2013 Essatollah Akbarizarinkolaei became Iranian champion ahead of Seyed Jafar Ghaasemi and Hassan Tamasebi. That is why he was used by the Iranian Wrestling Federation at the 2013 World Cup in Budapest, even if he had no previous experience at international championships. He surprised the entire professional world when he advanced into the final with victories over Alexander Burca, Moldova, Jakob Makaraschwili, Georgia, Yunierki Blanco Mora, Cuba, Sosuke Takatani, Japan and Raschid Kurbanow , Uzbekistan. There he gave the Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs from the United States an even fight for a long time before he finally lost with 0: 4 points. He won a silver medal with it .

In March 2014 he represented Iran at the World Cup in Los Angeles, a team competition. He shared the starting place with Reza Afzali Paemami. He was used three times. The first fight he played, he lost against Jordan Burroughs on points (1: 7), then won over Varuschan Kajojan from Armenia, but lost again clearly on points in the final against Akhmed Gadschimagomedow from Russia.
