The Estadio Edgardo Baltodano Briceño is a football stadium in the Costa Rican city of Liberia , Guanacaste Province . It is mostly used for soccer games and is the home of the AD Municipal Liberia . The facility has space for 5,979 spectators and was opened on September 11, 1977.
It was rebuilt to host the 2014 U-17 Women's World Cup .
