The Estadio Nueva Esparta , also known as Estadio Guatamare , is a baseball stadium in Porlamar on Isla Margarita in the Venezuelan state of Nueva Esparta .

The stadium holds 9,030 spectators in league operations and was opened in its current form in 2007 when the Bravos de Margarita from the Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional - successor to the Pastora de los Llanos from Araure - moved in and the official name was changed to Estadio Nueva Esparta. The history of the stadium goes back to 1956, when the government under Marcos Pérez Jiménez opened the Estadio Porlamar here . In 1976 it was demolished to make way for a new building called the Estadio Guatamare .

In February 2010 the stadium will host the Serie del Caribe . To this end, it was enlarged and modernized to a capacity of 15,000 spectators by 2009. The cost of the renovation was over 30 million (“new”) Bolívares .
