Eternal Spirit
Eternal Spirit is a Swiss euthanasia organization. It is organized in the form of a foundation based in Biel-Benken . The president of the foundation is Erika Preisig . Alongside Dignitas and Exit , Eternal Spirit is the third well-known euthanasia organization in Switzerland.
At the beginning of 2016, the responsible building inspectorate decided that the use of the studio in Basel , which Eternal Spirit uses for terminal care , would not be zone-compliant . Preisig then announced that from March 2016 he would be using a mobile home to carry out euthanasia if no alternative was available.
Membership in the lifecircle association is required to be able to use the services . Residence in Switzerland is not required.
The terminal care of the 104-year-old Australian botanist David Goodall , who died on May 10, 2018 in Liestal , received a lot of media coverage .
Controversy
Criminal proceedings were opened against the company in 2015. She was accused of enriching herself from the suicide accompaniments she carried out for foreigners willing to die.
