Silvia gets an amulet from her mother at her wedding. The amulet has a story that takes place in the 18th century. Back then, their family ancestors were in debt. When the father died, the house was to be mortgaged to Sir Adam Dalton. To avoid this, the youngest daughter agrees to marry the landlord Sir Dalton. But then she realizes that the landlord is cold-hearted and is suppressing and deceiving his workers in the mines. When she wants to leave him, he shoots her favorite horse. She then decides to join the rebels who plunder the supplies from Dalton and distribute the booty to the workers. On one of her raids, she meets Michael Collins, with whom she falls in love. However, they are being pursued by Sir Adam.
