The Eternity Range (English for Eternity Mountains ) is a 45 km long and up to 3239  m high mountain range with a north-south orientation in the middle of the Palmerland in the south of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is divided into three mountain groups, the highest peaks of which from north to south are Mount Faith , Mount Hope and Mount Charity .

The mountain range and the named mountains were discovered and named by the American polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth , who flew over the area several times between November 21 and 23, 1935. In November 1936, participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill to survey the mountains. Rymill named the central peak as Mount Wakefield . Contradictions in the comparison of the information between Ellsworth and Rymill subsequently prevented a clear assignment. It was only through further investigations as part of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) and the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960, as well as the comparison with earlier reports, maps and photographs, that the area around the mountains described here could be narrowed down . Rymill's name was carried over to nearby Wakefield Highland for reasons of historical continuity .
