Mount Faith

Mount Faith (English for Mountain of Faith ) is a 2650  m high mountain in the north of the Palmerland or in the southern section of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 14.5 km north of Mount Hope at the northern end of the Eternity Range and is next to this and Mount Charity one of the three highest peaks of the mountain range.

It was discovered and named by the American polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth , who flew over the area of ​​the Eternity Range several times between November 21 and 23, 1935. In November 1936, participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill made surveys. Aerial photographs were taken in September 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941) and in December 1947 during the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948).
