Ethelandros

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ethelandros ( ancient Greek Ἐθέλανδρος ) was a Greek sculptor who worked in the 2nd century BC. Was active in Epidaurus .

It is only known from a highly fragmented inscription on a marble statue base from the Asclepion of Epidaurus. The preserved inscription reads:

[Ἐ] θ [έλ] αν̣δ̣ρος Π [- -]
ἐποίησε

Because of the poor state of preservation of the inscription, the name was incorrectly read as Thysandros in the past .
