Ettrick Water (also called River Ettrick ) is a 53 km long river in the Scottish Council Area Scottish Borders . Its source is located near the Capel Fell mountain . Ettrick Water flows into the Tweed River near the village of Selkirk . The river is a popular fishing area where salmon in particular can be caught. The area around the river is popular with cyclists and hikers.
