Eucharius Holzach (medical practitioner)
Eucharius Holzach (* 1486 in Basel ; † 1558 ibid) was a Swiss doctor.
Life
Konrad Holzach, son of the merchant and politician Eucharius Holzach , attended high school in Schlettstatt . In 1500 he enrolled at the University of Basel and in 1501 in Paris , where he obtained his master's degree in 1506. In 1511 he received his doctorate. med. in Montpellier . After his return to Basel, he acquired guild rights in six guilds and practiced as a doctor. He was admitted to the medical faculty in 1524 at the latest, but without holding an official position at the university. He was friends with the two printers Bruno and Basilius Amerbach.
