Eucheir (Koroplast)
Eucheir , also Euchir and Eucheiros ( ancient Greek Εὔχειρ or Εὔχειρος ) was a Corinthian clay picture from the 7th century BC. Chr.
Eucheir was like the artists Diopos and Eugrammos companion of Bakchiads Demaretos after Kypselos had plunged the Bakchiads as the ruler of Corinth. He and his companions fled around the year 657 BC. To Etruria . After Pliny he and his artisan colleagues introduced the art of making clay sculptures to the Etruscans . The attempted equation with the painter of the same name , also handed down from Pliny, who, according to Aristotle, was the inventor of painting, is doubtful.
