Eugen Breitling
Eugen Breitling (born June 3, 1906 in Neubulach ; † March 22, 1980 in Nagold ) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Breitling trained as an industrial clerk, in 1929 he moved to Nagold, where he was employed by a car dealership until he was called up for military service in World War II . Breitling was chairman of SC Neubulach from 1926 until he was elected mayor of the city of Nagold for the first time in the second ballot in 1946 , and he was confirmed three times in this office. He also sat in the district council of the district of Calw and from 1964 to 1968 in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In these he was elected through the direct mandate in the constituency of Calw . In 1973 the long-time chairman of the district sports association resigned from his mayor's office for health reasons. The following year he got itFederal Cross of Merit 1st Class and honorary citizenship of the city of Nagold. The Eugen-Breitling-Strasse and the Eugen-Breitling-Stadion (until 2014) in Nagold were named after him.
