Eugene Frenke
Eugene Frenke (also Gene Frenke , born January 1, 1895 in Sokółka , Russian Empire , † March 10, 1984 in Los Angeles ) was a Russian-American director , producer and screenwriter .
Life
As a result of the October Revolution, Frenke came to Germany, where he began working as a production manager for film. He was the director of the feature film Life Returns (1935). He has worked with director John Huston twice for the films The Sailor and the Nun and The Barbarian and the Geisha .
Frenke was married to Anna Sten from 1930 until his death .
