Eugenio De Liguoro
Eugenio De Liguoro Presicce (born March 8, 1895 in Naples , † June 30, 1952 in Los Angeles ) was an Italian actor and film director .
Life
De Liguoro, son of the Italian film pioneer Giuseppe , initially followed in his father's footsteps as an actor and took on his first film role in 1915, which only a few (and then always under his direction) followed. In 1919 he directed ( Fascino d'oro ) in Italy for the first time before spending two years in India , where he also directed and worked for JF Madan's Madan Theaters in Calcutta . With the establishment of the sound film , De Liguoro took on various tasks in front of and behind the camera; In 1938 he first emigrated to Chile , where he was hired as an actor and as a director made eleven films that were set several times in the working class of the country, as well as melodramas and comedies. There he founded the "VDB Studios" with Ricardo Vivado and Ewald Beier , with which he produced these films. In 1947 the cosmopolitan moved to the USA , where he directed one last film before he died at a relatively young age.
