Eupatridai (noble family)
The Eupatridai ( Greek Εὐπατρίδαι , Eupatriden , "from noble ancestors", "from good fathers") were an Attic noble family ( γένος ). It has been known to have certain hereditary ritual functions since the Hellenistic period . The family's best- known office was that of exēgētai , the “interpreter” that existed as part of the cult for the Delphic Apollo .
