Euphorbia bourgaeana is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).
description
The succulent Euphorbia bourgaeana forms richly branched shrubs up to about 1.5 meters in height. The succulent shoots are provided with transverse leaf scars. The lanceolate leaves are in dense rosettes at the tips of the shoots and are up to about 7.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. They are seated and rounded at the tips.
The terminal inflorescences are as long as the leaves and consist of cymes with five to six-pointed umbels. Each beam splits into another two to three beams. Large, broadly egg-shaped bracts are formed, which are fused at their base and enclose the cyathia . They are colored yellow or purple. The cyathia are almost sessile and the elliptical nectar glands have two short horn-like processes. The bluntly lobed fruit is 8 millimeters in size. The egg-shaped seed is clearly covered with wrinkles and has an egg-shaped appendage .
