Euphorbia charleswilsoniana is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).
description
The succulent Euphorbia charleswilsoniana grows geophytically and flowers before the leaves shoot. A rhizome-like root is formed, which continues in strings of egg-shaped elongated tubers and produces underground shoots up to 15 millimeters in length and 7 millimeters in thickness. The shoots are covered with very small, pointed and up to 1 millimeter long warts. The broad, egg-shaped leaves stand in a rosette close to the ground and are about 2 centimeters tall. They are cloudy green on the upper side and deep purple in color. The petiole becomes 2 inches long and the stipules are thread-like.
The cyathia stand individually on stems up to 8 centimeters long. Round, up to 2.5 millimeter large bracts are formed, which are white to light pink in color and have a greenish central rib. The cyathia are about 1.3 millimeters long and 2 millimeters wide. Four elongated and two smaller nectar glands are formed, which stand individually and are brown in color. The bluntly lobed fruit is up to 3 millimeters in size and stands on a protruding and bent back stem. It contains the egg-shaped seeds that are 0.6 millimeters long and the surface of which is covered with very small warts.
